6. Digital/Wet signature of an authorized person
7. Printed or typed name of an authorized person

To file for name reservation online, follow the instructions below:
1. Log in; https://direct.sos.state.tx.us/
2. Click on "Business Organization"
3. Under "Reservation * Formation * Registration Documents," select "Application for Name Reservation"
4. Name to be reserved
5. Applicant name and address
6. Digital Signature of applicant
7. Review filing
8. Submit

Submit it by mail

To file a name reservation by mail, follow the instructions below:
1. Print the form (two copies) and sign.
2. Payment methods accepted:
- personal checks
- money orders
- LegalEase debit cards
- credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa)
3. Checks or money orders must be made payable to the Secretary of State
4. Mail the completed form in duplicate along with the filing fee to:
